Resumo

The preparation of [(C6H5)3P]2Rh(CNCH3)Cl and [(CH3NC)4Rh][B(C6H5)] are reported. Oxidative addition of oxygen, tetracyanoethylene, mercuric chloride, and iodine to [(C6H5)3P]2Rh(CNCH3)Cl and of methyl iodine and iodine to [(CH3NC)4Rh+] are described. Hydrolysis of [(C6H5)3P]2Rh(CNCH3)Cl yields [(C6H5)3P]2Rh(CO)Cl.
