Resumo

Satellites due to fluorine on S33 have been observed in the F19 NMR spectrum of sulfur hexafluoride. Values of the S33–F coupling constant and of the S33 isotope effect on the fluorine chemical shift have been obtained from the spectrum. We have also observed a S34 isotope effect on the fluorine chemical shift of sulfur hexafluoride and other sulfur—fluorine compounds. A Si29 isotope effect on the fluorine chemical shift has been observed for silicon tetrafluoride.
