Pour le diagnostic du paludisme d’importation, une PCR multiplex compétitive sur LightCycler™ a été mise au point et comparée pendant 3 mois avec une technique PCR classique. Cent quatre-vingt trois patients ont été testés par ces 2 techniques de diagnostic moléculaire : 60 ont été positifs pour P. falciparum, 9 ont été positifs pour d’autres espèces plasmodiales et 114 ont été négatifs. La technique LightCycler™ s’est montrée en total accord avec la PCR classique. For the diagnosis of imported malaria, a competitive multiplex PCR using LightCycler™ was developed and compared for 3 months with a traditional PCR method. Hundred eighty three patients were tested by these 2 techniques of molecular diagnosis: 60 were positive for P. falciparum, 9 were positive for other Plasmodium species and 114 were negative. The LightCycler™ method was found in total agreement with the traditional PCR.
