Properties of epitaxial LaCaMnO laser ablated thin films on (1 0 0) and (1 1 0) SrTiO3 substrates

Thin films of La0.62±0.05Ca0.33±0.02MnO3 − δ were grown by laser ablation on SrTiO3 with 100 and 110 orientations. We find that the films grow epitaxially, with either the c-axis perpendicular or in the plane of the films. Using the same deposition conditions, films on both substrates have similar characteristics. Anisotropic behaviour of the magnetoresistance is found.
