ResumoWe aim at investigating proteins under irradiation with intense THz radiation tuned into resonance to specific vibrational modes. This approach is much in analogy to recent experiments that showed selective vibrational control in Complex materials [1, 2, 3]. To achieve the necessary sensitivity for protein dynamics we combine a novel time-resolved IR difference spectroscopic setup with uniquely intense, tuneable narrow bandwidth THz radiation (1.2 – 75 THz) of the free electron laser FELBE.
