Resumo

[C5Me5RhPh(CO)CH3] reacted thermally to give acetophenone (27%) and toluene (9%); acetophenone formation was substantially increased in the presence of halobenzenes PhX (the order of effectiveness being X = I > Br > Cl) or methyl iodide, but 1-electron oxidisers promoted CC coupling (toluene formation).
