ResumoRNA oligosynthesis block 8 was synthesized from selone 1 by successive silylation, acetylribosylation, coupling with selone 4, desacetylation, and treatment of obtained ribonucleoside 6 with monomethoxytrityl chloride, followed by o-chlorobenzoylation and phosphonylation. Solid-phase oligosynthesis is being performed, and redox-active heptaribonucleotide phosphothioate 9 is obtained which has a lower oxidation potential than ribonucleoside 6.
