Resumo

Leucophleps and Leucogaster are not related to the other genera traditionally placed in the Melanogastrales and have been placed in a new order Leucogastrales, with a single family, Leucogastraceae. The genus Leucophleps is described on a worldwide basis. Four species are included: L. magnata Harkness.L. aculeatispora sp.nov., L. levispora (Mattirolo) comb, nov., and L. spinispora nom.nov. Leucophleps clelandii, L. foveolala, L. Candida, L. citrina, and L. odorata are excluded.
