ResumoThree doses involved in the female breast, Adipose, Glandular and Total Doses, were calculated for different adipose tissue ratio and four breast thickness using MCNP-4B code. Glandular Dose is the most important contribution to the breast carcinogenesis risk. As breast composition changes with woman age, a function that relates age with dose has been estimated. For all thickness, the calculated results have shown the dependence of both parameters. A different behaviour of Adipose and Glandular doses for different four breast thickness has been observed, basically due to backscattering dose in the outer adipose tissue region and the thickness-distance X-ray source effect.
