Unitarity and time reversal in the Glauber model

It has been pointed out by Formanek (1980) that for incident energies above the particle production threshold the usual Glauber formulation of particle-nucleus scattering violates unitarity and time reversal invariance. The authors propose a simple method for recovering T invariance and discuss unitarity in view of the proposed modification. Numerical estimates are given to check the importance of the T-invariance effects.
