ResumoAbstract. Specimens of polymerized and unpolymcrizeci Nuva‐Seal® and Alpha‐Seal® were implanted subcutaneously on polythene rods. Polymerized specimens caused only slightly greater reaction than controls over intervals of from 2 days to 1 year. Unpolymerized specimens caused necrosis, marked inflammatory cell infiltration and granulation tissue formation for up to 1 week but were similar to the controls at 1 year. No reaction to unpolymerized resin painted on the oral mucosa was observed.
