ResumoAbstract The adsorption of the three alkyl sulfates, SDS, STS and SHS, at the solution-air interface has been measured directly by means of the radiotracer method. It has been proved that the surface adsorption increases with increase in the concentration and has a tendency to be saturated at concentrations near cmc for each detergent solution. The results have shown that the adsorption increases with increasing chain length. The Gibbs adsorption equation has been cheked and discussed.
