F. ; Pike, C. D. ; McGee, J. D. Abstract Dfrect electronographic observations have been obtained of the systems NGC 4319 plus Markarian 205, Seyfert's Sextet, and NGC 7603 plus companion, using Spectracon image converters at the prime focus of the 120-inch reflector to investigate the existence of luminous connections between galaxies of very different redshift. No evidence of such connections was found in the first two objects. A luminous filament does indeed extend between NGC 7603 and its companion, but the observations give no indication of interaction between the companion and the luminous material.
