However in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-infected patients, bioclinical aspects are often atypical and parasites may be found in unusual sites (1-3). In this case report, Leishmania were found in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and blood. To our knowledge, this finding has not been previously reported.40-year-old heterosexual HIV-seropositive man was admitted for fever, weight loss, cough, and headache. Clinical examination revealed hepatomegaly without splenomegaly and adenopathy.
