ResumoYield curves for 40Ar(p, p0), (p, p1), (p, p2), (p, p3) and (p, α0) reactions were obtained from 3.5 to 6.0 MeV, incident proton energy. Strong excitations suggesting the formation of analogue states were found, especially in the (p, p2) reaction. Spins for some of the 41K states were assigned from angular distribution analyses. Ericson's fluctuation theory was used to analyse the alpha data and yielded 3.9±0.9 keV for the mean width of states of 41K in the 12.3 to 13.5 MeV excitation energy interval.
