ResumoClinical Relevance The effects of polishing techniques on surface roughness, microhardness and microleakage of resin composites are material dependent. In general, since immediate polishing has not had a negative influence on the tested properties of the two composites compared to delayed polishing, this procedure could be preferred, reducing the number of clinic sessions and bringing more comfort and satisfaction to the patient.
