ResumoA method for the determination of molybdenum in infant formula and human milk by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry was developed and optimized. Samples were injected directly in the graphite tube with barium difluoride as the matrix modifier. The detection limit was 0.89 μg Mo l−1. The molybdenum levels found in infant formula and human milk were 0.09–2.23 μg Mo g−1 and 2.32–8.38 μg Mo l−1, respectively.
