ResumoThis paper analyses an unusual feature of Tibulo’s language and versification: the repeated use of the perfect infinitive of the type continuisse in the second hemistich of the pentameter. Ovidio cleverly understood its stylistic value and very skilfully used it when he wanted to homage the elegiac poet.
