These phosphanes (for example, 1; c-Hex=cyclohexyl) are highly efficient ligands for the rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric hydroboration of a wide variety of styrenes (see scheme). cod=1,5-cyclooctadiene; DME=1,2-dimethoxyethane.
