Resumo

The energy of a soliton composed of quarks bound by a chiral field depends in general on the coupling strength g of the quarks to the chiral field. We show that in the limit of infinite coupling strength, the energy of the soliton becomes independent of g and the quarks become effectively confined. The resulting soliton has features in common with the large Nc limit of QCD.
