ResumoThe Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) is increasingly being used as a means of comprehensive, standardised student assessment in clinical history-taking, patient examination and data intepretation. The OSCE can also be used to review the efficiency of teaching and enables feedback to the students about their performance. This article discusses the organisation of the OSCE, and its use in assessment of teaching and student performance in Child Health.
