Several histogenetic theories pertaining to this neoplasm are discussed and the world's literature is reviewed. Data obtained from mucin and enzyme histochemical studies are presented which clearly relate this tumor to the "clear" cells of the eccrine secretory coil. The significance of these observations are discussed and related briefly to other eccrine sweat gland adenomas whose histogenesis previously has been established. References 1 Azzopardi, J.
