ResumoThe structure of K2Pd3S4 is a stacking variation of the layer structure detected in monoclinic Cs2Pd3S4, and orthorhombic Cs2Pt3S4. The unit cell is orthorhombic: a = 10,652 Å, b = 25,614 Å, c = 6,095 Å; z = 8; space group Fddd (No. 70). Rb2Pd3S4 exists in two modifications. One structure type is isotypic with the orthorhombic K2Pd3S4 and has the unit cell parameters: a = 10,715 Å, b = 26,623 Å, c = 6,114 Å. The other is isotypic with the monoclinic Cs2Pd3S4 and has the unit cell parameters: a = 6,224 Å, b = 13,32o Å, c = 6,117 Å, β = 120,58°; z = 2; space group C2/m (No. 12). The series of the alkalithiopalladates is compared with the -platinate series.
