ResumoTo evaluate the effects of different feeding strategies in diets based on forage cactus on the performance of lactating dairy Holstein were used five cows in 230 days in milk and 489 kg of live weight were assigned in a 5 x 5 latin square. The treatments were: total ration; separated ingredients; sorghum silage plus concentrate and separate forage cactus; forage cactus plus concentrate and separate silage; silage plus forage cactus and separate concentrate. The averages of intake and dry matter digestibility were 13.18 kg/day e 65.0%, respectively. The averages of daily milk production, fat corrected milk (4%) daily production and fat theor were, 13.35 kg; 12.74 kg e 3.73%. The feeding strategies didn't differ significantly to each other for any evaluated variable
