Resumo

Range distributions of 15N ions implanted at 800 keV in selected elemental targets from Z= 6 to 90 have been measured through the use of a (p, αγ) nuclear resonance reaction. From these distributions we have inferred the electronic stopping powers which, when combined with those from our previous 14N measurements, show excellent agreement with the semi-empirical model of Ziegler et al. throughout the periodic table. Improved data are obtained from the current work since the width of the 15N resonance is narrower than that of the 14N resonance reaction. This allows more precise determinations of the concentration distributions than was previously possible.
