Dichotomies in music education – real or unreal?

He does not describe learning as haphazard, but his opponents seem to think he does. And I am afraid Dewey's insistence on the naturalness of disorder in any busy educational workshop is not heralded in the educational climate of 2010. 6. PISA, an internationally standardised assessment that was jointly developed by participating economies and administered to 15-year-olds in schools. PISA has influenced educational debate all over the world focusing on achievement in the basics of reading, writing and mathematics.
