Resumo

In the bacterial oxidation of arsenopyrite under laboratory conditions, almost twice as much arsenic was brought into solution by bacterial oxidation as by spontaneous oxidation; iron was only slightly affected. In experiments with enargite, bacterial oxidation produced a sixfold enhancement of the solution of copper and iron, but had little effect on the iron.
