Resumo

We found that although endometriosis is one of the most frequent and distressing gynecologic diseases, effective systemic markers for its detection are still lacking. The role of the plasma CA 125 and CA 19-9 assays for its diagnosis is indeed contradictory [ 1 Somigliana E. Vigano P. Tirelli A.S. Felicetta I. Torresani E. Vignali M. et al.
