Abstract 1. 1. Incubation of metacestodes of H. diminuta for 30 min in 0.2 mM solutions of cycloleucine and α-aminoisobutyric acid (AIB) led to the establishment of concentration ratios of 25 and 24 respectively. 2. 2. Values for K 1 K , and V max are given for cycloleucine; AIB, l -alanine, l -proline, l -leucine and l -phenylalanine. 3. 3. Evidence is presented for the involvement of three loci for the transport of the six amino acids noted above (“A (alanine”, “L (leucine)” and “Phenylalanine” loci).
