ResumoThe use of simplified tools that allow obtaining precise values of wood volume is essential in forest planning Thus, the objective of this study was to select volumetric and hypsometric equations for a stand of Eucalyptus sp. with an area of approximately 16 ha, located at Ibura National Forest, Nossa Senhora do Socorro, Sergipe, Brazil. For this purpose, a census of the eucalypt stands was carried out, measuring the circumference at breast height of all trees. The data were grouped in diameter classes with 5 cm width and 36 trees were selected to perform volume calculations. From the pairs of actual data of height and diameter, obtained by the volume calculation method, it was possible to fit the hypsometric and volumetric models. The model that presentedthe best height-diameter ratio was the simple linear model. For the volume with and without bark, the model of Schumacher-Hall showed best results. The residual graphical analysis showed a homogeneous and uniform distribution of points on both sides of origin line, showing a satisfactory correspondence between actual and estimated data.
