Resumo

Abstract Line parameters of the 1-0 band of HCl have been retrieved from spectra of finite resolution (0.1 cm-1) obtained with a Fourier transform spectrometer which gives the spectral transmittance of the sample at intervals larger than the Lorentzian widths of the lines, by using a non-linear, least-squares method to analyze two spectra simultaneously. The accuracy of this technique is demonstrated by comparing the retrieved parameters with previously reported values. Line positions are obtained with a precision of 0.005 cm-1 and the intensities and widths agree within the estimated accuracy of 5%. Evidence of line shifts due to N2 perturbation has been obtained.
