ResumoThe pr esent work was developed f r om ,June 1985 to May 1986.Mont hly sampling was perfor med in estuarine and coastal adjacent habitats.Samples were collected using bottom trawl~ beach seine and bottom pots .Fourt een s pecie s (6~538 individuals) of decapod brachyurans wer e ide n tified~ being Catti~ect~ da~ae the most abundant in all habitats ~ f ollowed by C. ~a~id~ and Po~u~~ ~~i~ma~~.Bo ttom tra1Jling pr ove to be t he mor e e ffi cient fi shing gearycaughting fourteen species~ while beach seine caught eight speci es and estuar i ne catches~ using bottom po t s~ wer e constituted by f i ve specie8 ~ a ll of them be longing to the genus Ca11i~e~~~.The number of f emale s was higher t han male s for all dominant species~ and gene rally~ t his number was higher mainly at bay region than at beach and estuarine habitats .The growing of to tal catches during spr ing-summer mont hs may be correlat ed wi th warmer waters and r eproduction patt erns .Data on s pecies composi t ion~ occurre nc e ~ abundance~ hydrographic parame t er s and samp ling methods ar e pr e sented.
