ResumoThe most recent milestone in the history of science must be the determination of the sequence of the human genome. Capillary electrophoresis is an important tool that has revolutionized DNA sequencing and allowed the completion of the human genome sequencing well ahead of schedule and well under budget. The development of multiple-capillary versions of the instrument, with a sheath-flow cuvette for laser-induced fluorescence detection, has been an important step in the development of this technology.
