ResumoDue to the differences between the loads and speeds of the year the bridges were built and those nowadays, it has been necessary to update their strength and this had to be done suitably separating them, so that the operation could be performed without interrupting traffic. In both cases, the old substructure was taken advantage of, and an original solution, of undeniable interest adopted, consisting of placing a new metal bridge inside the old one. In this article, the delicate operations carried out are described, until the new bridge was put into operation and the new one broken up.
