Resumo

The band structure of a Ti${\mathrm{C}}_{0.93}$ crystal has been studied by angle-resolved photoemission. Experiments were carried out on the (100), (110), and (111) surfaces. The bulk band structure of Ti${\mathrm{C}}_{1.0}$ has been calculated using the linear augmented-plane-wave method, and the results are used to interpret the experimental data. The results indicate that most of the structures observed in the photoemission spectra from the (100) surface can be explained in terms of direct transitions.
