Her activities in the field of toxicology include direct patient care as Director of the Prison Service of the Department of Emergency Medicine, consultation and teaching of toxicology at the LAC/USC Medical Center, supervision of the hospital's Drug Information Center, and Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee of the Los Angeles County Medical Association Regional Poison Control Center. She has been treating patients with drug overdosage, poisoning with non-drug products, and complications of drug abuse for the past twenty years.
