ResumoStudies have shown that providing on-the-job leadership development to charge nurses can prevent negative clinical outcomes, significantly improving quality of care. 1,2 Leadership training traditionally has been administered using classroom learning methods. However, it has been estimated that traditional training programs have little to no effect on job performance in 80% to 90% of cases. 3 Leaders often require additional help to transfer their new knowledge to the everyday work environment. 4
