His book, Friendship and Agent-Relative Morality, was selected by Robert Nozick for Garland Publishing's Studies in Ethics series and appeared in 2001. His areas of current research interest include the nature of special obligations, philosophical questions relating to love and loyalty, and the internal-external reasons debate in practical reasoning. His publications include "Friendship without Partiality?"
