A new species of hymenopteran parasitoid (Lysiphlebus balcanicus sp. n.) of root-feeding aphids, Aphis psammophila Szel. on Jasione dentata Hal. is described. It is assumed to be a species endemic to the Balkans. Attendant ant species are also treated.
