Resumo

Geology and biology : an analysis of some epistemological and didactic linkages In France, science disciplines are grouped such that both geology and biology are taught by the same teachers. Is this grouping an indication of epistemological and didactic similarities ? We wish to show that these two subject domains share similarities in the way they model complex systems of matter and energy and that these parallels can be use to facilitate students’ mastery of such models. More generally, we address the question of the possibility of didactic synergy between discipline areas.
