ResumoA three‐year‐old, male springer spaniel had chronic left forelimb lameness with a medial glenohumeral ligament tear and articular cartilage damage diagnosed on arthroscopy. The animal failed to respond to conservative therapy of rest and an intra‐articular injection of methylprednisolone. The use of thermal capsulorrhaphy using bipolar radiofrequency bought about a return of joint stability and resolution of the lameness.
