Este artigo visa apresentar matrizes discursivas e acoes realizadas por atingidos por barragens, em especial dos atingidos pela barragem de Barra Grande. Os dados foram obtidos em documentos das organizacoes de atingidos, de empreendedores de UHEs, de orgaos publicos, etc.; em entrevistas com atingidos. A organizacao dos atingidos se deu, principalmente, por intermedio da Igreja Progressista, do novo sindicalismo, tendo maior autonomia com a criacao do MAB. Uma primeira organizacao dos atingidos pela UHE de Barra Grande ocorreu na decada de 1980, sendo retomada no final da decada de 1990, quando se iniciam os levantamentos para construir a hidreletrica. Os atingidos fizeram muitas negociacoes com os empreendedores para definir os valores a serem pagos nas indenizacoes, necessitando fazer acoes publicas para concretiza-las. Palavras-chave: Barragem. THE STRUGGLE OF THOSE AFFECTED BY DAMS IN BRASIL: THE CASE OF PEOPLE AFFECTED BY BARRA GRANDE’S HYDROELECTRIC PLANT AbstractThis article aims to present discursive matrices and actions taken by people affected by dams, especially those affected by Barra Grande’s dam. The data were collected from documents of organizations of those who were affected by the dams, entrepreneurs of large Hydroelectric Plants, public departments, and the like; and interviews with the people affected by dams. The organization of those who were affected by dams was created mostly through the Progressive Church, the new syndicalism, having a greater autonomy with MAB’s creation. The first organization of people affected by Barra Grande’s Hydroelectric Plant happened in the 1980’s, and it retained in the 1990’s, when the hydroelectric building has begun. The people affected had many negotiations with the entrepreneurs to define the amounts to be paid in the restitutions, where public actions would be necessary to implement them. Key-words: Dam.
