ResumoA group of objects from Spain and Romania bear the mark «X», a device probably to be associated with legio X Gemina . A survey of this legion's known stamps and countermarks on lead pigs and coins suggests that the practice began during Agrippa's tour of Hispania in 19 BC. Countermarked coins attest to the presence of the legion in Pannonia, Moesia or the Rhine fronter, as well as in Baetica, the Ebro valley, and Petavonium (Zamora).
