Resumo

An 82-year-old man with coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and atrial fibrillation on anti-coagulation therapy presented with overt GI bleeding. Upper endoscopy and colonoscopy were performed, with inconclusive results. The patient underwent wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) while in the intensive care unit by using the M2A capsule endoscope system (Given Imaging, Yoqneam, Israel). Images were reviewed with the RAPID application software (Given Imaging). There was no bowel preparation or use of prokinetic agents at the time of the examination.
