Resumo

The purpose of this work was to evaluate the energetic demand requested by a seeder-drill varying the number of sowing lines. The experiment was carried out in the Experimental Nucleus of Agricultural Engineering, of Unioeste, Campus of Cascavel, state of Paraná, in Red Latosoil Haplortox. A randomized block design was used in five treatments and four repetitions. The following treatments were used: seeder equipped with one, two, three, four and five sowing lines, which were moved in an average speed of 5.5 km h-1. The wheeled motive skating parameters, furrow depth, fuel consumption, average traction force, traction force for depth, maximum traction force, medium potency and maximum potency were evaluated. With the increase of the number of sowing lines of one to five, the average traction force in the bar increased from 3.72 to 8.62 kN. In other words, there was an increment of 131.9%. The maximum traction force in the bar was 41.41% higher than the obtained average traction force. The fuel consumption was not influenced by the number of used lines.
