ResumoA 6-year-old girl was brought in by her mother with a chief complaint of “choking on a small toy.” It was mid-December, and she had been entertaining her young friend by placing a small, plastic dreidel (top) in her mouth, when she began coughing violently and seemed to be gasping for air. The mother reported that the episode lasted approximately 30 s, when she suddenly improved and was able to breathe comfortably with a normal voice. She had been asymptomatic since that time.
