We have developed a theoretical model by considering the charge rearrangement in the region of a bimetallic interface. By using the density functional formalism we have calculated variationally interfacial energies due to pairs of semi-infinite jellia in contact. We infer that the electronic interaction has an important role in the bimetallic adhesion.
