ResumoUltrafast energy transfer has been observed in mixed supramolecular stacks of mono-functionalized oligo(phenylene vinylene)s (MOPVs) in solution. Extended columnar aggregates of MOPV3 incorporating MOPV4 show a very efficient quenching of the MOPV3 fluorescence, which indicates that energy transfer (ENT) occurs within the supramolecular stacks from the shorter oligomer to the longer one (see schematic representation).
