This diagnosis can be made from the lymphogram without need for biopsy. Radiographic features include an avascular lesion affecting both the cortex and spongiosa of the bone that may present as a pathological fracture; few normal lymph nodes in the affected area; and, frequently, swelling due to soft-tissue lymphangiomas and lymphatic stasis. Contrast medium may be visualized within the lesion for many months following injection. A representative case is presented.Article HistoryAccepted: Aug 1971Published in print: Feb 1972 FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByDiagnostic Pathology: BoneG.
