ResumoBackground: Anaemia is one of the most common causes of malnutrition and it has a great public health significance affecting children, adolescents and women of reproductive age worldwide. Thus, there is a need to investigate the prevalence of anaemia particularly among females in their reproductive aged 15 to 45 years in The magnitude of anaemia in the general population of Ambala district has not yet been well documented.
